Wedding Arbor

A redwood wedding arbor designed for easy deconstruction and repurposing as a lasting garden arch.

This piece was a special request from a longtime friend seeking a meaningful wedding element that could later live on in her garden.

Given her and her husband’s appreciation for redwood—an ideal material for outdoor longevity—the arch was designed to feel timeless and modern, with subtle Art Nouveau influences woven into the form.

To arrive at the final design, the process began with mood boards, exploratory sketches, and small-scale mock-ups to test form, proportion, and detailing, ultimately informing a cohesive result.

Once the final design was established, we transitioned into CAD and rendering to visualize the form in 3D and refine key details, sharing progress to ensure alignment before moving forward. After receiving approval, we sourced materials and began fabrication, bringing the design to life.

This arbor presented a rewarding design challenge that was successfully fabricated, transported, and installed for the event. Now permanently installed in my friend’s front yard, it continues to live on as a functional garden piece—serving as a lasting reminder of their wedding day.
