Charleston East Store - Props & Fixtures
A variety of elements installed in the Mountain View Google Store that elevate and enhance the shopping experience.
The Google Store Props and fixtures encompass a diverse range of mounting solutions and aesthetic accessories designed to enhance the presentation and narrative surrounding showcased products.
While the fixtures predominantly serve a functional role and remain discreetly hidden, one particular prop stands out as the the pinnacle feature of this project.

The primary function of these fixtures is to securely affix a few Google Home Minis, tablet cases, and an aluminum housing for the Pixel 8 onto the rear of a display box within the store.
The overarching objective was to design and 3D print a robust solution capable of supporting the weight of these objects, all while maintaining a discreet appearance to create a seamless and aesthetically pleasing look for the average shopper.

Upon entering the store, customers are immediately welcomed by an assortment of strategically mounted products and props. Among the initial displays, one's attention is drawn to the pellet form positioned alongside a Pixel 8 case.
As mentioned earlier, the pellet form serves as the focal point, designed to emulate a pile of pellets on the vertical surface. This presented a significant challenge due to specific constraints, including the requirement to avoid directly attaching any components to the vertical surface and the need to craft a shape that conveys an airy, cluster-like feel.

Beyond our work on fixtures and props, we also played a part in mocking up a considerable amount of the artwork adorning the space above the shelving.
Overall being involved in the opening of this store was a gratifying experience, and I take pride in the fact that a creation I contributed to is prominently positioned by the entrance, visible to almost every customer.
